Received most of what I ordered at the stated price. One small item missing, seller corrected immediately
I wouldn't hesitate to buy the new SP590UZ to add some mega pixels and a little greater zoom capability, because I have been so satisfied with this camera. The ability to zoom so far on the fly without changing lenses has allowed me to capture many great things. I take mostly nature photos and at times the focus is slow and it can be hard to catch wildlife on the move. Flower shots come out with stunning color. All cameras have their shortcomings even those that cost thousands of dollars.
I use the panorama mode to lock the exposure for my panoramas but stitch the photos in another program as I have found the Olympus Master 2 program often shows seams if your overlap is greater than the software allows for. There are some things that only a true dslr can do, but I can't imagine being without this camera even if I could afford a high cost dslr. This camera is a great overall camera. I've had this camera two and a half years now and have taken over 16,000 photos with it. It is light weight and easy to take out hiking.
The macro is amazing, and once again there is no need to change the lens.
This camera will do anything I ask of it and due to the SCN and GUIDE menus it is very easy to choose what setting to use. My favorite thing about it is the 18 power zoom lens. It is just what I wanted. After much research I bought this camera over a year ago. It is light-weight even considering the features it has. I use a 1gb XD picture card in it and even after all this time I still have room for 108 more pictures on it.
Now I'm searching for the housing. Found some online but reviews are terrible for these online stores. Olympus should give some kind of date on how long their products will be available. The only problem I have now is that the underwater housing for this camera was been discontinued before I could buy one. The camera is top of the line. I bought this camera for my husband for underwater. He loves it. I would have gone with another camera if I had known.
This camera came new in its box, great shape, having alot of fun with it.
